Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan also continued to poison the death of Syed Ali Shah Gilani, a separatist Hurriyat leader who played a key role in spreading Pakistan's conspiracies in Jammu and Kashmir. He called Gilani a "Pakistani" targeting India.

Imran Khan announced to hoist the Pakistani flag at half-mast and also declared a day of national mourning. He tweeted that he was saddened to hear the news of Kashmiri leader Syed Ali Shah Gilani. Gilani continued to fight for his people and their right to self-determination throughout his life. Imran Khan said India kept him captive and harassed him. We salute their struggle in Pakistan and remember their words - we are Pakistani and Pakistan is ours.

Gilani, notorious for his anti-India statements, also honored Pakistan with its highest civilian honor, the Nishan-e-Pakistan. Syed Ali Shah Geelani died at the age of 9 in Srinagar late Wednesday night. Gilani had been ill for a long time. At one time Gilani had a tremendous influence on Kashmir. At his voice, the whole of Kashmir was closing down. However, in time, the people of Kashmir marginalized Gilani and boycotted him. Gilani called on the people of Kashmir to boycott the 2019 elections. But the people of Kashmir boycotted him. In the 2014 elections, the turnout in Jammu and Kashmir was 8%.
