Imphal: Police have seized a drug factory from Manipur's East Imphal district and seized narcotics worth over Rs 90 crore, a senior official said.

The drug factory was operating at the home of a police head constable in Yerikpok Tulihal Avang Lekai area of ​​the district, East Imphal Superintendent of Police N Harojit Singh told reporters. A police team raided the factory yesterday and seized 400 kg of banned narcotics. A police team has arrested two people, including a head constable, in connection with the case.

According to the SP, the value of the seized drugs in the international market is estimated to be more than Rs 90 crore. The SPA further said that the seized drugs and the two arrested persons have been handed over to the Andro police station. The matter will be further investigated by the police station and further action will be taken.
