Corona's active cases in the country crossed four lakh for the fourth day in a row

Amid fears of a third wave of corona epidemics in India, 4,318 new cases of corona were reported on Saturday. With this, the total number of corona cases crossed 4.5 crore while active cases were registered for the fourth day in a row, more than four lakh, according to the Union Health Ministry.

The health ministry added that the total death toll had crossed 2.50 lakh with another 40 deaths on Saturday. In the last three hours, the number of active cases of corona has increased by 4,305. Active cases account for 1.5 per cent of all corona cases. More than 2.31 crore corona patients have been cured in the country so far and the national recovery rate was 7.5 per cent. The corona had a daily positivity rate of 7.5 per cent and a weekly positivity rate of 7.5 per cent. Corona's positivity rate has been below 3% for the last 21 days in the country.

Meanwhile, a total of more than 20 million doses of corona vaccine have been given in the country so far. On Saturday, more than 2.5 lakh doses of the vaccine were given in a single day. In all the states, the first dose was given to 25 million people between the ages of 18 and 5 and the second dose was given to 25 million people. As many as 40 people were killed in the country on Saturday, including 131 in Kerala and eight in Maharashtra. Corona's condition in Kerala is still bad.
