Arrest of Maulana Siddiqui in mass conversion case in Uttar Pradesh

New Delhi: The UP ATSA has arrested another accused Maulana Kalim Siddiqui from Meerut in connection with the illegal conversion of more than a thousand people in Uttar Pradesh. Siddiqui is the chairman of Jamia Imam Waliullah Trust. The investigation has revealed that the main accused in the conversion case, Umar Gautam, was in contact with Umar Gautam.

ADG Prashant Kumar said Maulana Kalim Siddiqui manages the Jamia Imam Waliullah Trust. Evidence has been found that about Rs 3 crore has been funded in his account so far. Out of which Rs 1.5 crore was sent from Bahrain. The organizations were funded by Umar Gautam's organization Al-Hassan Education Fund Welfare Foundation. Maulana Kalim Trust was also funded in the same accounts.

Six ATS teams have been activated to investigate Kalim's other associates. Maulana Kalim Siddiqui, a resident of Phulat in Khalauti area of ​​Muzaffarnagar, and several others were detained by the UP ATS on Tuesday night. Inquiries were also made overnight. Investigative agencies took major action in the case on Wednesday. Siddiqui was conducting his activities mostly in Delhi.
