The survey came up with shocking results. At the time the survey was conducted in rural areas, only 4% of children were receiving regular education. 9% of children were not studying at all. The survey also tested children's reading. Eighty percent of them could not read more than a few words.

The survey claims that the proportion of students studying regularly in cities is 5 per cent, the proportion of students studying at all is 12 per cent and the proportion of students who cannot read more than a few words is 5 per cent.

It is worth mentioning that offline education is largely closed in most of the schools in the country due to Corona. Schools are being opened in phases in some states as Corona's condition improves.

According to the report, the proportion of students studying online regularly is 6 per cent in cities while only eight per cent in villages. Factors such as lack of money, poor network, lack of smart phones are hindering online education.

In rural areas, more than 90% of children do not have a smartphone. Parents who participated in the survey also reported that their children's ability to read and write decreased during the lockdown. Only four percent of parents believe that their child's ability to read and write has increased.
