Kolkata: Violence erupted in West Bengal during the Assembly elections and after the results were declared, killing several people. The Bengal government has approached the Supreme Court against the High Court ordering the CBI to probe the matter. Supreme Court 20th Sept. The matter will be heard.

Arguments will be made by senior advocate Kapil Sibal on behalf of the Bengal government. He told the apex court that this was an investigation being carried out by the BJP. Earlier, the entire case was being investigated by the Kolkata High Court under the supervision of the CBI. The West Bengal government had opposed the High Court's decision.

Sibal said the inquiry was ordered on the basis of a report prepared by the National Human Rights Team. Most of the people in the team are biased against Mamata Banerjee's government in the state. The investigation team of the Human Rights Commission is similar to the investigation team of the BJP.
