Discussions are rife that election strategist Prashant Kishore will join the Congress. In the midst of all this, there is a faction of the party which is said to be strongly opposed to the inclusion of Prashant Kishor in the Congress. An important meeting was held at the home of former Union Minister Kapil Sibal on Monday in which concerns were raised over the issue of Prashant Kishor's arrival in the Congress.

It is learned that an important meeting was held at Kapil Sibal's house on Janmashtami day. The meeting was attended by 23 Congress leaders, also known as the G-23. They are strongly opposed to the inclusion of Prashant Kishor in the Congress. The leaders of this group are apprehensive of 'outsourcing' important decisions related to elections. Interestingly, there were some leaders in the meeting who were supporting the inclusion of PK (Prashant Kishor) in the Congress.

It is learned that a section of the party is upset over the inclusion of Prashant Kishor in the Congress. The G-23 leaders, who were annoyed with the Gandhi family two years ago over organizational reforms in the party, are strongly opposed to it.

On Monday, G-23 leaders held a meeting at Kapil Sibal's house and discussed the party's decision to appoint Prashant Kishor as general secretary. "We have seen a Pacific teenager in Uttar Pradesh, his success is unique," said a leader who attended the meeting. He further said that any proposal of the Congress to include him (PK) in the party should be discussed at the meeting of the Congress Working Group.

It is learned that senior Congress leaders AK Antony and Ambika Soni have been tasked to prepare a report based on the views of party leaders on the Pacific juvenile issue.

Apart from Kapil Sibal, several leaders including Ghulam Nabi Azad, Anand Sharma, Shashi Tharoor, Manish Tiwari, Bhupinder Singh Hooda were present at the meeting.
