10 DCP to Deshmukh, Parb to cancel transfer order Rs. 40 crore given: Vaze


The chargesheet filed by the ED includes Sachin Vaze's statement

Mumbai: Maharashtra Transport Minister Anil Parab and his cabinet colleague Anil Deshmukh allegedly demanded Rs. 40 crore were obtained.

The amount was taken to reverse the transfer order issued by the then Commissioner of Police Parambir Singh, the sacked police officer Sachin Waze claimed in a statement to the ED. The statement is part of the ED's recent indictment against former Deshmukh personal secretaries Sanjeev Palande and Kundan Shinde.

In July 2020, Parambir Singh ordered the transfer of 10 DCPs. Waze said in a statement that Deshmukh was the home minister at the time and was not happy with the transfer. I later came to know that Rs. 40 crores were collected. Out of this Rs. 20 crore was given to Anil Deshmukh and Anil Parab, Ave Waze claimed.

In addition to Palande and Shinde, the chargesheet also named Waze as an accused. However, neither Deshmukh nor his family members are named in the chargesheet. Palande and Shinde are currently in judicial custody. Sachin Waze was arrested in March in connection with parking an explosive-laden SUV outside the residence of businessman Mukesh Ambani in Antilia and in connection with the murder of Thane businessman Mansukh Hiren, the owner of the vehicle.

The indictment alleges that Palande and Shinde played a key role in the money laundering case. Deshmukh used to call Waze for the amount collected from bars and restaurants. In January and February 2021, Waze filled 16 bags for Rs. 4.6 crore was given to Shinde. Palande was conveying the Deshmukh's instructions to Vaz.
