In Uttar Pradesh, the politics of name change is not over. After Aligarh and Mainpuri, there is now a demand to change the name of Mirzapur. Seeing the renaming exercise in Uttar Pradesh once again, there is a growing demand for renaming from other districts as well. Now an organization has demanded to change the name of Mirzapur district to Vindhyachal Nagar.

Officials of the Indian Golden Union, who reached the Mirzapur District Collectorate, have written a letter to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath demanding renaming of Mirzapur Janpad as Vindhyachal Nagar. Union office bearer Awadhesh Singh said that no one knows Mirzapur in other regions outside. When we say the name of Vindhyachal, everyone knows that name.

The Indian Gold Federation had asked the district to be renamed after Vindhyachal. Awadhesh Singh, national vice-president of the Indian Gold Federation, said he had reached the DM's office and demanded that Mirzapur be renamed Vindhyachal Nagar or Vindhyachal Dham. A letter has also been written to the Chief Minister for this.

What will be the names of Aligarh and Mainpuri?

Many districts have been renamed in the Yogi government. The renaming exercise has started once again in Teva. The proposal to name Aligarh district as Harigarh has been passed. While the proposal to name Mainpuri after Mayan Rishi has been passed in the district panchayat. These proposals passed in the district panchayats are now being sent to the government. Now the important question is whether the government will take a decision on it.
