Pulwama: A major operation was carried out by the army at Avantipora in south Kashmir's Pulwama. Three Jaish-e-Mohammed militants were killed in the operation. A total of five terrorists have been killed in the last 24 hours.

Two militants were killed by the army in a clash in Avantipora on Friday. Military officials said the militants were appealed to surrender before retaliation. However, the militants refused to lay down their arms and opened fire on the army, after which the operation was launched and the militants were shot dead.

In Pathankot, on the other hand, a jawan was killed during training in the scorching heat. While several soldiers have been hospitalized. The incident took place at Mamun army station in Pathankot. It was scorching hot while the training was going on.
