Threatening phone call to Pratapgarh MP demanding Rs 5 crore ransom

Uttar Pradesh's Pratapgarh district MP Sangamlal Gupta has demanded a ransom of Rs 5 crore. A phone call for ransom While another phone call came to her mobile from Delhi.

The North Avenue police in New Delhi district has registered a complaint following the MP's complaint. A special cell of the Delhi Police will investigate the threat.

MP Sangamlal Gupta said in the police complaint that he was on his way home from Pratapgarh railway station last Saturday when he received a ransom call on his mobile. The MP has also lodged a complaint with the local police.

On Monday, the MP received a threatening phone call again while he was at his official residence in New Delhi. In which the amount was asked to reach by 6.30 pm. A few years ago, Don Ravi Pujari also demanded ransom from the MP.

Information has been obtained from the number from which Gupta received a ransom call. Anne's call details are being collected. The threatening caller's phone is registered at an address in a town in UP. The MP has a business in Mumbai.
