The Taliban on Saturday barred six Afghan Sikhs and Hindus, including two minority members of the Afghan parliament, from coming to India. The Taliban, on the other hand, abducted more than 150 people, including Indians, on their way to Kabul airport and released them after checking their documents. Meanwhile, 30 Indians returned home from Kabul on Saturday in an Air Force plane.

Fearing the Taliban's future regime, a group of six Afghan Sikhs and Hindus had been waiting outside the Kabul airport for more than 12 hours to return to India. As the Indian Air Force plane arrived at the airport, they were stopped by the Taliban as they boarded the plane, saying they had no need to leave the country as they were Afghan nationals. He told Sikhs and Hindus to return. Therefore, an Indian Air Force plane carrying 40 Indians left Kabul. The group has taken refuge in Gurudwara Dashmesh Pita Guru Gobind Singhji Karte Parwan in Kabul. They are signature safe.

Now the only way to bring these Sikhs and Hindus back to India is to negotiate with the Taliban. After the Taliban took over Afghanistan, a group of 30 Afghan Sikhs and 30-40 Hindus took refuge in the Parwan Gurdwara in Kabul. The Taliban have assured them of peace and security. But they are still skeptical of the Taliban's rule. Afghan Sikhs and Hindus have been detained by the Taliban because they are citizens of Afghanistan.

In addition, Sikhs and Hindus have urged the governments of India and Canada to expel them from Afghanistan after IS terrorists killed more than six Sikhs at Gurdwara Har Rai Sahib in Kabul on March 8, 2020. There were less than 200 Sikhs and Hindus in Afghanistan at the time of the attack on the Kabul Gurdwara in 2020. Since then, more than 200 have migrated to India. At one time there were more than one lakh Sikhs and Hindus living in Afghanistan, but they fled Afghanistan after the 13th Mujahideen came to power.

Meanwhile, the Taliban on Saturday intercepted a group of 150 people, including Indians, on their way to Kabul airport and took them to an unknown location as if they were "kidnapping" them. However, the Taliban investigated whether the group included Afghan nationals. After checking the documents of more than 150 people, the Taliban released them. The men then arrived at Kabul airport.
