The government has slashed domestic air fares by up to 12 per cent

The people of the country were given one more dose of inflation by the central government

Government raises both minimum and maximum air fares by 9.83 to 12.82 per cent

New Delhi: The Union government has slashed domestic fares by a whopping 12.83 per cent, giving the people of the country another bitter taste of inflation. The Union Ministry of Civil and Aviation has announced an increase in the minimum and maximum fares for domestic travel from 9.83 per cent to 12.82 per cent, a government order said.

It may be recalled that after the lockdown imposed in the wake of the Corona virus epidemic last year, the country was given the green signal to start domestic air travel from May 25, 2020, with the central government setting a certain limit for both minimum and maximum fares.

The government had set a certain limit for minimum fares to provide financial support to airlines that have become financially strapped following the Corona virus. It also set a maximum fare limit so that passengers do not have to pay more airfare when the demand for seats on a plane skyrockets.

However, in a government order issued on August 12, the Ministry of Civil and Aviation had set aside Rs. The minimum limit was 2600 and it was increased by 11.53 per cent to Rs. 2900, while increasing the maximum limit for air travel of 40 minutes or more by 12.82 per cent to Rs. 8800 were killed.

Similarly for 40 to 60 minutes of air travel Rs. 3300 by raising the minimum limit to Rs. 3700 was killed. The maximum limit for this flight has also been increased by 12.24 per cent to Rs. 11000 was killed.

The minimum limit for air travel from 60 to 90 minutes is Rs. 4500 which indicates an increase of 12.5 per cent, while the maximum limit for this flight has been increased by a whopping 12.82 per cent to Rs. 13,200 were killed.

From now on, the minimum fare for 90-120, 120-150, 150-180 and 180-210 minutes of air travel will be Rs. 5300, Rs. 6700, Rs. 8300, and Rs. 9800 has been determined. It may be recalled that the amount of this fare so far has been Rs. 4700, Rs. 6100, Rs. 7400 and Rs. Was 8700.

Ahmedabad-Mumbai airfare can be as high as Rs 11,000

Today, the Union Ministry of Civil and Aviation has significantly increased the minimum and maximum limits on domestic air fares. With the government approving a 12.24 per cent hike in the maximum fare for 40-60 minutes of air travel, airlines will be in high demand from now on. Will be able to charge rent up to Rs. Of course, the decision will hurt domestic airlines, but air travelers will have to pay hefty fares.
