One kg of heroin, 15 hand grenades, five pistols, 150 rounds seized from Kupwada

Srinagar: Terrorists attacked a BSF convoy in Jammu and Kashmir. The convoy was on its way to Srinagar from Jammu when it was attacked. This was followed by heavy gunfire between the army and the militants.

Security forces on the other hand have seized a large quantity of arms and explosives from Kupwada. Drugs were also found along with the weapons, according to police. A cordon and search operation was conducted by the police in Karnah area here. During which 15 hand grenades, five pistols, 150 pistol rounds, three detonators were seized.

Meanwhile, one kg of heroin was also recovered. When the BSF convoy was attacked in Kulgam, there was a late night gun battle between the militants and the army in the area. The entire area is currently under siege and action is being taken against the terrorists. However, no injuries or deaths have been reported.
