Sikh devotees were allowed to go to Kartarpur Sahib

New Delhi, 22 August 2021 Sunday

The good news for Sikh devotees is that they have been allowed to visit Kartarpur Sahib Gurudwara to celebrate the 31st death anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev. However he will have to follow Coro’s guidelines during this trip.

The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) on Saturday allowed Sikh pilgrims to visit Kartarpur on the occasion of Guru Nanak Devji's death anniversary next month.

Due to the delta type of corona virus, India was placed in the C-series from May 9 to August 15. People going from India to Pakistan needed special permission. However, now that Koro's case is declining, the implementation of the above provision is showing signs of slowing down.

Devotees wishing to go to Kartarpur will have to submit certificates to the authorities that they have taken both doses of Corona vaccine as well as the report of the RTPCR investigation conducted in the last 3 hours.

Airports will also be tested for their rapid antigen. The passenger will not be allowed to go to Pakistan if the transition is known. A maximum of 500 passengers will be allowed to go to Kartarpur on this occasion.
