Mr. Modi, come to Parliament and listen to us on the issue of espionage: the demands of the Opposition

Message to the Center of Opposition before the last week of the monsoon session

Parliamentary IT Committee hopes to hear Pegasus issue in coming days: IT Committee Chairperson Shashi Tharoor

New Delhi: With just seven days to go before the end of the monsoon session of Parliament, not a single day has gone by that both the Houses of Parliament have proceeded peacefully. Every day the proceedings of the Parliament erupted and crores of rupees of the people were wasted.

The Trinamool Congress has demanded that Prime Minister Modi take part in the proceedings of the House. Pegasus has become a point of resistance in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha over the espionage controversy. TMC MP Derek O'Brien posted a three-minute video of him pushing various opposition parties in Parliament, entitled - Mr Modi, come and listen to us.

RJD MP Manoj Kumar Jha said the government was blocking the debate on the Pegasus issue in Parliament and Prime Minister Narendra Modi should intervene to resolve the issue. He said the monsoon session should be extended instead of the wasted time of Parliament.

"We have been demanding a debate for the last 14 days," said Congress' Mallikarjun Khadge. You are not allowing it. Now you are passing that bill. If you have the courage, start a debate in the House. A day of reporting from the global media union about the illegal use of Pegasus spyware has also become a state of resistance since the July 19 monsoon session was interrupted.

With just a week to go before the monsoon session ends, the opposition has given a clear signal to the government by releasing a three-minute video of the opposition leaders. If the issue of Pegasus and farmers is not discussed, the coming days will be similarly useless.

On the other hand, Shashi Tharoor, chairman of the IT committee of Parliament, said in an important statement that the meeting of the IT committee, which was supposed to be held now, has not taken place, but the IT committee will definitely consider the issue in the coming days.

Shashi Tharoor said he also hoped that the IT committee would hear the espionage case. He lashed out at the Modi government, saying that the government had made a mockery of democracy by not listening to the voice of the opposition. It is only right that national and international issues be debated in Parliament. That is the responsibility of the government.
