Milestone: The number of corona vaccines administered to people in India has crossed 50 crore

New Delhi, August 7, 2021

The Corona Vaccination Campaign launched by India in the fight against Corona has reached a critical juncture.

"It is a matter of pride that more than 500 million doses of the vaccine have been given to people in the country," said Dr Bharti Praveen Pawar, Minister of State for Health at the Ministry of Health. The government is constantly striving to make the vaccine available to all.

"Initially, 2.5 lakh doses of vaccine were produced. Today, it has increased to 40 lakh doses per day. I think, with the increase in production capacity, we will be able to provide better vaccines to the people," he said. Don't let that happen

"The central government is making continuous efforts for vaccination of children. Vaccines are formulated on the basis of their effectiveness and efficacy. Safety has to be taken into consideration and tests are being carried out with all these factors in mind," Pawar said.

Meanwhile, PM Modi also took note of this milestone and said that India's fight against corona is now gaining momentum. The number of vaccinations has crossed 50 crore and it is hoped that all citizens will be vaccinated.
