Jammu and Kashmir: Indian Army helicopter crashes, rescue mission launched

An Indian Army helicopter crashed near Kathua in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday morning. The helicopter crashed in the lake of Ranjit Sagar Dam in Kathua. Rescue work is being carried out after the incident and the situation is being assessed.

According to information, an Indian Army helicopter 254 Army AVN Squadron flew from Mamun Kent on August 3 at around 10.20 am. The helicopter was taking a low-altitude round near the dam area, after which it crashed into the dam.

An NDRF team has been deployed after the incident and a rescue mission is underway. According to SSP RC Kotwal of Kathua district, a search operation is now being conducted in the lake by the divers. How many people were in the helicopter. What has been damaged as a whole. Not yet aware of this.

Earlier this year, an army helicopter crashed in Jammu. He then had two pilots aboard the helicopter. One of them was killed.
