In Chhattisgarh, a young man was beaten while teaching in a mosque on the issue of Koro

Bilaspur, Ta. 21

A young man in Chhattisgarh found it difficult to teach the rules of corona in a mosque. A young man was beaten in the mosque for teaching corona rules. Not only that, he was expelled from the mosque and banned from entering the mosque.

Hearing the petition filed in the case, the Chhattisgarh High Court lifted the ban on the petitioner from entering the mosque and ordered the youth to pray in the mosque. Mohammed Yusuf, a resident of Durg, went to the Jama Masjid on June 7, 2020 to offer prayers. However, seeing the huge crowd in the mosque, he advised people to wear masks and follow Corona's rules of maintaining social distance. Hearing such advice from him some people got agitated and got into a fight with him. Meanwhile he was expelled from the mosque and banned from entering the mosque again. Mohammed Yusuf lodged a complaint with the police.

Police registered a case against the assailants, but released the Maulana who instigated them. He made several complaints about the ban on entering the mosque, but no action was taken. He therefore filed an application in the High Court seeking registration of a criminal case against the mob instigator and entry into the mosque himself. Before hearing the case, Justice N. That. Vyas ordered Yusuf to enter the Jama Masjid and allow him to pray.
