Congress claims: 5000 leaders' Twitter accounts locked, Rahul Gandhi says, thoughts of my 20 million followers were crushed

Congress claims that the micro-blogging site Twitter has blocked the official Twitter account of the Congress party and more than 5,000 accounts of party leaders.

According to the party, Congress general secretary Randeep Surjewala, KC Venugopal, Ajay Maken, party whip in the Lok Sabha Manikam Tagore are some such names. Whose account has been locked by Twitter. All of these leaders are accused of not following Twitter's rules. Twitter has therefore taken this action.

Apart from these big names, the Twitter accounts of former Union Minister Jitendra Singh and Mahila Congress president Sushmita Dev have also been locked. According to Congress, the accounts of more than 5,000 leaders have been locked. No more activity from this account.

The Congress said a senior MP from the party was speaking on Twitter on the issue and demanding a speedy resolution of the case. Congress has written a letter to Twitter appealing for an end to the controversy.

Congress said Twitter had to take phased action before taking action to suspend the account. Twitter had to warn first, then delete the tweet.

Rahul Gandhi's scathing attack on Twitter

Rahul Gandhi has slammed both the central government and Twitter over the action. Rahul Gandhi on Friday said that Twitter's action shows that it is not a neutral social media platform. It is working under pressure from the government.

"We are not allowed to speak in Parliament and we have control over the media," he said, targeting the Modi government. Now we had only one ray of hope but it seems that even this platform is not neutral. "This is not just an attack on Rahul Gandhi but an attack on our democratic system," he said.
