Opposition MPs will meet Rajya Sabha Speaker M Vekanya Naidu at 12.15 pm to complain about the mistreatment of women MPs in the House. The decision was taken at a meeting convened by the Leader of the Opposition in both the houses. At the end of the meeting, the leaders of the Opposition marched on foot from the Parliament House to Vijay Chowk. Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi told the media that ruling party MPs in Parliament did not allow opposition leaders to speak. He accused the government of suppressing the voice of 60% of the country's population.

Rahul Gandhi said, the government does not allow us to speak in Parliament

Rahul Gandhi said, the Parliament session is over. Clearly as far as 60% of the country is concerned there was no Parliament session for them as 60% of the people’s voice was suppressed. He was harassed and mistreated in the Rajya Sabha. We raised the issue of Pegasus, we demanded to discuss this issue with the government. The government refused to discuss Pegasus.

Rahul Gandhi accused the government of preventing the opposition from speaking in Parliament. "We raised the issue of farmers outside Parliament as we did not get permission in Parliament," he said. We also raised the issue of inflation outside Parliament and today we have come to talk to you as the ruling party does not allow us to speak in Parliament. This is nothing less than the assassination of democracy in this country.
