Sweden: 8 skydivers and pilots killed in plane crash

A plane crashed in the Swedish city of Orebro. It had a pilot and 8 skydivers aboard. All 8 skydivers and pilots died in the accident.

According to Sweden's Joint Rescue Coordination Center (JRCC), it was a small propeller plane that crashed near Orebro Airport, 160 km west of Stockholm.

According to the JRCC, the plane was found on the runway and crashed while taking off. A total of 9 people were aboard the plane.

Police spokesman Lars Hadlin said several people had been killed, although he did not give an exact figure. He also informed that a seriously injured person has been taken to the hospital.

In 2019, a similar plane crash in the northeastern Swedish city of Yumia killed nine people.
