Pushkar Singh Dhami has been the president of the BJP Youth Front and joined the ABVP during his college days.

New Delhi: Pushkar Singh Dhami has been elected as the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand. He will now be the new Chief Minister of Uttarakhand. Pushkar Singh Dhami Khatima is an MLA. He was born in Tundi village of Pithoragarh. He has been the president of the BJP Youth Front and joined the ABVP during his college days.

Vehicles reached the BJP office to welcome the new CM of Uttarakhand. The assembly party met on Saturday morning after Tirath Singh Rawat resigned on Friday. Rawat resigned at 11 pm on Friday to state Governor Baby Rani Maurya.

Apart from Pushkar Singh Rawat, MLA from Chaubattakhal and Cabinet Minister Satpal Maharaj, MLA from Srinagar Dhansinh Rawat were also contenders for the Chief Minister's post. Apart from this, the names of Vishansinh Chufal and Dhansinh Rawat were also in the forefront. One faction of the party even suggested the name of former chief minister Trivend Singh Rawat.

He argued that with one year left in the next Assembly elections, what is wrong with Rawat instead of betting on another candidate. He should be given this responsibility, he also has experience in running the state. However, with the selection of a candidate, the BJP will have to strike a regional and gender equation.

The meeting of the BJP assembly party started at 3 pm. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and BJP general secretary and Uttarakhand chief Dushyant Gautam will be present in the form of central observers. The meeting will be chaired by BJP chief Madan Kaushik. All the MLAs of the party were present in it.

However, supporters of former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat are happy with the political situation in Uttarakhand. They have a festive atmosphere there. Supporters of Trivendrasinh Rawat fed him sweets and celebrated the resignation of Tirathsinh Rawat.
