Lucknow: A thousand people were lured and forcibly converted in Uttar Pradesh. The case was found to be heavily funded from abroad, so the ED has launched an investigation. The ED had raided about six places in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh and collected evidence in the entire case.

The ED raided the houses of accused Mohammad Umar Gautam and his accomplice Mufti Kazi Jahagir in Jamia Nagar, Delhi. The raids also included the office of Umar Gautam, the main accused in the Islamic Dawah Center. Both the accused are accused of converting deaf, dumb, women, children and students.

Similarly, in Uttar Pradesh, Al Hassan Education and Welfare Foundation and Guidance Education and Welfare Society, which is located in Lucknow, were also raided by the ED. According to ED, these institutions were being run by Umar Gautam. Who is the main accused in this whole proselytizing case.

It has also been revealed that crores of rupees came from abroad during the raid. Evidence of which was collected from these institutions. Meanwhile, a man named Intak was arrested in connection with the conversion of a woman in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. He is accused of luring a woman to convert by pretending to be a Hindu.

He also had sexual relations with women. Similarly, five people have been arrested in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, on charges of involuntarily converting a 16-year-old girl to a marriage. Those arrested include the main accused youth, his parents and Bahrain. The action was taken on the basis of a complaint lodged by the girl's family.
