New Delhi: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma has said that it is a kind of jihad for a Hindu youth to cheat and lie with a Hindu girl. And legislation will also be brought in to prevent such incidents.

Talking about Hindutva, he said that Hindutva is 5000 years old and it is also a way of life. Followers of most religions are descendants of Hindus. Hindutva cannot be eradicated. Because it would mean running away from one's homeland and motherland.

Speaking on the issue of Love Jihad, the Chief Minister said that there was an objection to the word. However, no one has the right to cheat or betray a woman. And the government will not allow any such thing. Strict action will be taken against anyone who does so.

Earlier, the Chief Minister had announced that special benefits would be given to families with only two children in Assam. Now they said that if a Hindu youth cheats on a Hindu girl, it is also a kind of jihad.
