Inflation: Cooking gas cylinders have become more expensive from today, find out the price


- At present the government subsidizes some consumers on 12 cylinders of 14.2 kg in a year

The oil company reviews the prices of LPG cylinders every month. Taxes vary from state to state and LPG prices vary accordingly. The country's oil marketing companies have this month hiked the prices of 14.2 kg LPG cooking gas cylinders by Rs 25.50. While the price of a 19 kg cylinder has been increased by Rs 76.

In Delhi, the price of a 14.2 kg unsubsidised LPG cylinder has gone up from Rs 809 to Rs 834. In Kolkata, the price has gone up from Rs 835.50 to Rs 861. In Mumbai, the price has gone up from Rs 809 to Rs 834 and in Chennai from Rs 825 to Rs 850.

In Delhi, a 19 kg LPG cylinder was priced at Rs 1,473.50 last month but is now priced at Rs 1,550. Its price has gone up from Rs 1,544.50 in Kolkata to Rs 1,651.5, in Mumbai from Rs 1,422.50 to Rs 1,507 and in Chennai from Rs 1,603 to Rs 1,687.5.

There was no change in domestic cylinder prices in May and June. LPG cylinder prices were cut by Rs 10 in April. The government currently subsidizes some consumers on 12 cylinders weighing 14.2 kg a year. If the customer wants to buy more cylinders than that, he can buy at market price.
