In the last 24 hours, new cases of corona have crossed 42 thousand again, 40 per cent of the patients are from Kerala

In India, 42,015 people were infected with the corona virus on Tuesday. Since then, the total number of positive cases in the country has risen to 3,12,16,337. The death toll rose to 4,18,480 with a further 3,998 deaths. The number of patients recovering in the last 24 hours is lower than that of newly infected patients.

A total of 36,977 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recovering patients to 3,03,90,687, according to the health ministry. Currently, the number of active cases of corona in the country is 4,07,170. The daily positivity rate is 2.27 per cent, down from 3 per cent in the previous 30 days.

In the last 24 hours, 34,25,446 doses of corona vaccine were administered in the country, bringing the total number of vaccinations to 41,54,72,455. Of the new corona cases in the country, 77.89 per cent came from only five states. Kerala alone accounted for 40.1 per cent of the cases.

The highest number of new cases was reported in Kerala on Tuesday. While Maharashtra came second in this regard. However, there was an increase in new cases in Maharashtra on Tuesday as compared to Monday. Apart from that, more cases of corona were reported from Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Tamil Nadu. At present, the recovery rate of Corona in India is 97.36 percent.
