Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi finally vaccinated against corona, absent from Parliament for two days

New Delhi, July 31, 2021

Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi has been vaccinated against corona. According to media reports, he took the dose three days ago.

He did not appear in Parliament on Thursday and Friday. However, it was not clear what vaccine Rahul Gandhi had given. Earlier, the BJP had questioned the delay in vaccinating Rahul Gandhi.

The BJP had accused Rahul Gandhi and other members of his family of being reluctant to take the vaccine, after which the Congress last month said that Sonia Gandhi had taken both doses of the vaccine and party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi had also taken the first dose.

Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said that Rahul Gandhi would be vaccinated after recovering from corona as per the advice of doctors.

He said that the Modi government should focus on vaccinating more than 80 lakh people daily to meet the target of vaccinating 100 crore Indians by December 31. This is the rule of law. He should clarify his policy on it.

More than 460 million people in India have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
