Exports rose 48.34 percent to 32 32.5 billion in June

Imports up 98.31 per cent to 41 41.87 billion in June: trade deficit rises to 9.37 billion

New Delhi: Exports of petroleum products, gems and jewelery, chemicals, leather and marine items rose by 48.34 per cent to 32 32.5 billion in June, according to a statement issued by the Commerce Ministry.

Imports also rose 98.31 per cent to 41 41.87 billion in June. The trade deficit stood at 9. 9.37 billion in June, with imports surpassing exports.

During April-June, 2021, exports grew by 85.88 per cent to 95 95.39 billion. Imports also rose to 126.15 billion during the same period. Which was 60 60.44 billion in the same period last year.

The trade deficit stood at. 30.75 billion in the first quarter of the current fiscal. Which was 9. 9.12 billion in the same period last year. Oil imports in June stood at 10. 10.68 billion. This is an increase of 116.51 per cent over June last year. In June 2020, oil imports stood at 4.93 billion.
