Congress is losing its ideology, annoyed senior Cong leader Sushil Kumar Shinde

New Delhi, July 1, 2021, Thursday

Sushil Kumar Shinde, a senior Congress leader and former home minister in the UPA government, has also come under fire after raising questions against the party.

After Jyotiraditya Scindia and Jitin Prasad, the question of whether Shinde is also preparing to revolt has been debated in political circles. The resentment of the leaders in the Congress party is not a new thing but the fact that the number of disgruntled leaders is steadily increasing can be said to be a matter of grave concern for the Gandhi family.

Shinde's displeasure was expressed at a function to honor veteran Congress leaders. In his address, Shinde said, "There was a time when my words weighed on the Congress party but now I don't know." Congress is also losing its ideological culture. There was a time when meditation camps were held by the party. In which the popularity of the leaders and the influence of the Congress on the masses were discussed. Now it is difficult to understand where the Congress is going now. The first workshops were also held by the Congress to correct its own mistakes.

Meanwhile, there has been a backlash in Maharashtra politics over Sushilkumar Shinde's statement. The Shiv Sena has said that if Sushilkumar Shinde has said something, the party should discuss it as he is one of the most senior Congress leaders.
