The movement of Chinese troops has increased in the Barahoti area
Indian forces equipped to counter any Chinese infiltration attempt
New Delhi: On the one hand, China has been at loggerheads with India in Ladakh for the past one year, while on the other hand, the Chinese military has stepped up movement near the Line of Actual Control in the Barahoti area of Uttarakhand. The Defense Ministry does not want to delay the deployment of Chinese troops in any new area.
Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Raut and Chief of the Central Command of the Indian Army Lieutenant General Yogendra Dhimri visited the area this month to assess the situation. He was also instrumental in operational readiness in the area. Both the military officers are natives of Uttarakhand so they have a full estimate of the state's border with China.
Defense Ministry sources said the movement of Chinese forces in the area was increasing. A recent survey of the Barahoti area by 35 members of the People's Liberation Army was found. After a good while, Chinese forces are no longer active in the area.
Sources said that Chinese forces are constantly monitoring the area as long as it is in the area. Indian forces are also well equipped to respond to any incident. The operational readiness of the Indian forces in the Central Sector is adequate. Thus, Indian forces are well equipped to suppress any intrusion by Chinese forces.
