53266 in Sensex, 15952 in Nifty set a new record

Nifty rises 74 points to 15924: Foreign investors gain Rs. 265 crore for sale

AHMEDABAD: The BSE Sensex 53266 and Nifty 15952 touched new all-time highs today on the back of encouraging results from leading IT companies in the recently started June quarter results season and other favorable reports, including monsoon progress.

The Sensex touched a new all-time high of 53266.12 on the back of intra-day gains after the start of trading on the Bombay Stock Exchange. The Sensex bounced back as profits were booked on this high. However, it rose 254.80 points to close at a new high of 53158.85.

N.S.E. The Nifty rose intra-day and touched an all-time high of 15952.35 after a bullish start to the day. However, it gained 70.25 points to close at 15924.20. Local organizations today raised Rs. Made new purchases of Rs 439 crore. While foreign investors have invested Rs. 265 crore was under sale.
