Venkaiah Naidu re-verified the accounts of several Sangh leaders, including Bhagwat

The central government's resentment against social media giant Twitter over compliance with the new IT rules is growing rather than easing. The blue tick disappeared from the accounts of President Venkaiah Naidu and RSS president Mohan Bhagwat at a time when the government was sending daily notices about the new IT rules. However, Twitter relaxed after the Center issued a 'final' warning.

After removing the blue tick from the personal account of Indian Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, Twitter removed the blue tick from the accounts of several union officials, including Union President Mohan Bhagwat and Krishna Gopal. That is, their official accounts were unverified. However, after the central government objected to Twitter's action, Twitter again verified the official accounts of all union functionaries, including Naidu and Mohan Bhagwat, by putting a blue tick on their accounts.

Revealing this, Twitter said that the reason behind the removal of Blue Tick from accounts including Venkaiah Naidu was its policy. "According to our verification policy, if an account is inactive for more than six months, it is automatically deleted according to the Blue Verified Tick algorithm," he said. Venkaiah Naidu's personal account was last tweeted in July 2020. No activity was seen in the account since then. Naidu remains active on his official account as Vice President.
