However, an application was filed in the US court against the order. The Donald Trump administration banned new downloads of apps like TikTok, WeChat. This means that it will work in the phone in which these apps are already downloaded but no new person can download.

Last year, India also banned the Chinese app Tiktok, WeChat. India banned about 100 Chinese apps, citing data theft as a major issue.
