MUMBAI: A shocking incident has come to light in Thane where a woman has not been vaccinated against corona three times at a time. The incident took place at the Anandnagar Vaccination Center in Thane.

The woman's health is stable after the incident but the BJP has demanded action against the health center staff for such negligence. After the incident came to light, the corporation administration was informed that a committee has been appointed to look into the whole matter and further investigation is underway.

Further details of the incident took place at the Anandnagar Health Center on Ghodbunder Road in Thane on the afternoon of June 25 in which a 28-year-old woman was vaccinated not one but two times by a health worker present at the center.

The woman was shocked to be given three vaccines at the same time and reported the matter to her husband when she came home. As soon as the local corporator came to know about this, she inquired about this from the concerned officer of the municipality and he gave an extravagant answer.

The BJP had alleged that Thane Municipal Corporation officials and doctors were shirking their responsibilities. BJP MLA Niranjan Davkhare said the authorities and the municipal administration were responsible for the whole affair.

After the whole affair came to light, Thane Mayor Naresh Mheske clarified that a committee would be set up to investigate the incident and action would be taken against the culprits. Even after the serious incident of three vaccines being given to the same woman at the same time, the corporation administration has remained silent on the whole matter. The negligence of the municipality has come to the fore once again due to this incident.
