Talking about world health in G-7 during Corona, PM Modi chanted 'One Earth, One Health'

The 7 major economic powers of the world are participating in the G-7 summit during the Corona epidemic and Prime Minister Modi was also virtually involved in the summit. Prime Minister Modi chanted the mantra of 'One Earth, One Health' during his address at the first outreach session of the Group of Seven, the G-7 Summit. German Chancellor Angela Merkel specifically mentioned Prime Minister Modi's mantra and strongly supported it.

In this regard, the Australian Prime Minister mentioned his discussions with PM Modi on the first TRIPS Waiver. At the same time, India was made aware of Australia's strong support. The French President, on the other hand, called for the supply of raw materials to vaccine manufacturers like India to ensure massive vaccine production for the entire world.

During the session, Prime Minister Modi lauded the support extended by the G-7 and other guest countries during the second wave of the Covid transition in India. He shed light on India’s vision to fight the Koro epidemic. The Prime Minister also spoke about India's successful use of open source digital tools for contact tracing and vaccine management and India's willingness to share its experience and expertise with other developing countries.

Prime Minister Modi expressed India's commitment to support collective efforts to improve global health. At the same time, it called for global unity, leadership and solidarity to prevent future epidemics, emphasizing the special responsibility of democratic and transparent societies.

Apart from June 12, Prime Minister Modi will also participate in the outreach sessions of the G-7 Summit on June 13 digitally. The G-7 summit includes countries like Canada, Italy, Japan, France, Germany, Britain and the United States. This time the UK is leading the G7 and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also had the opportunity to attend the summit. Apart from India, countries like Australia and South Korea have also been invited.

This time the G7 will discuss the Corona virus, free trade and the environment. It will focus more on how to free the world from the Corona epidemic and make a strong comeback again.
