PAK: Large blast near terrorist Hafiz Saeed's house in Lahore, 2 killed, 15 injured

The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a house in the Jauhar Town area of ​​Lahore, Pakistan. The blast killed at least two people and injured 15 others. Notably, the notorious terrorist Hafiz Saeed lived in the area. A bomb disposal team with a rescue team rushed to the spot as soon as the blast was reported.

Hafeez's home is in the area where the blast took place, and agencies have not yet confirmed that the blast targeted Hafeez's home. Some reports are claiming that Hafiz Saeed is currently in jail.

According to eyewitnesses, the blast was so powerful that the windows of surrounding houses and buildings were shattered. One building was badly damaged and several vehicles parked at the site of the blast were also damaged. According to rescue officials, 17 people were injured in the blast and were rushed to Jinnah Hospital by private vehicles and rickshaws.

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bujdar has sought a detailed report on the blast from a police officer. CCTV footage of the incident has also surfaced showing a blast from inside the road. It is learned that a gas pipeline has been installed under the road. But it was not immediately clear if the bomb had been used in the pipeline.
