Nigeria banned Twitter there indefinitely on Friday. Nigeria said the platform is being used for activities to reduce Nigeria’s corporate existence. The federal government has suspended Twitter indefinitely, the information ministry said. Two days ago, Twitter deleted a tweet from the official account of Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, accusing him of breaking the rules. The local government then took action against Twitter. However, Twitter was still working after the government's announcement. Asked about this, Special Assistant to the Ministry Sagun Adami said, "I can't answer the technical questions." Yet Twitter has been suspended indefinitely.
