My crime is that I fought for the breath of two crore people: Kejriwal

New Delhi, Dt

The BJP has accused the Kejriwal government of "criminal negligence", citing reports that the Kejriwal government had demanded more oxygen than it needed during the second wave of corona. Two million people fought for breath.

The BJP has accused Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of committing "heinous crimes" and "criminal negligence" after a report by an audit team set up by the Supreme Court on the issue of oxygen shortage in Delhi came out. BJP leaders, including BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra, East Delhi MP Gautam Gambhir and former Delhi Chief Minister Kapil Mishra, have lashed out at the Delhi government over the issue and demanded an apology for making false claims of lack of oxygen.

Responding to the BJP's allegations, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, "My crime is that I fought for the breath of two crore people. I was waking up all night and arranging oxygen when you were busy with election rallies. Don't call people who have lost their lives due to lack of oxygen 'false'.

Meanwhile, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Friday claimed that the Supreme Court had not approved the report of the Oxygen Audit Citi, which supplied more oxygen than required in Delhi. He accused the BJP of lying and misleading the country. The fact is that there is no such report. Committee members have told the Delhi government that no such report has been approved or signed or released.
