Patna, Ta. Thursday, June 3, 2021

The corona vaccine on children in the country was initiated in a clinical trial on children at AIIMS, Patna. Under this, three children have been given the first dose of Bharat Biotech covacin vaccine. All three children are currently healthy.

Patna AIIMS has been given the target of vaccination trial on a total of 80 children. The three children are in the age group of 12 to 18 years and are residents of Patna. All three children were vaccinated for two hours after being vaccinated. However, no side effects were seen in any of the three children. The hospital has given a diary to the parents of the three children and asked them to keep an eye on their health.

108 children have voluntarily registered. Of these, clinical trials were conducted on 15 children and only three trials were found eligible. All three children will be given a second dose after an interval of 28 days. Once their vaccinations are complete the children will be thoroughly screened for any side effects of the vaccine. Patna AIIMS has divided the children into three groups for trial based on their age.

Amid warnings of a third wave of Corona, the Indian government had approved Bharat Biotech's covacin for trial. A total of 525 children will be tried in the country, which will include several major hospitals, including Delhi and Patna units. Two doses of the vaccine will be given during the trial, with an interval of two doses.
