Another side effect of corona infection: There are now five cases of hemorrhage

New Delhi: Five cases of cytomegalovirus (CMV) have resulted in five cases of Bleeding Bleeding at Sir Gangaram Hospital in Delhi. This is the first report in India of five cases of rectal bleeding due to cytomegalovirus in Covid-19 immunocompetent. One in five patients has died.

Chairman of the Institute of Liver Gastrology and Pancreaticobiliary Sciences and Dr. of Sir Gangaram Hospital. According to Anil Arora, this symptom has been seen in five patients of Corona in the last 45 days. All these patients arrived at Sir Gangaram Hospital after 20 to 30 days for treatment of Kovid-19 with abdominal pain and bleeding in the stool, which is not a symptom of Kovid. None of them had other immune conditions responsible for this viral infection.

According to Gangaram Hospital, five cases in the age group of 30 to 70 years were from Delhi NCR. Four out of five patients were rushed to Sir Gangaram Hospital due to bleeding from the stool and one patient had intestinal problems. Both of them were bleeding profusely. One patient urgently needed surgery on his left lung. One of the patients breathed his last due to other complications associated with covid, while one needed surgery. The remaining three patients are being treated with antiviral drugs.

According to doctors, steroids, especially in the treatment of covid infection and its treatment, suppress the immunity of patients. This makes their body extremely susceptible to abnormal infections. One such infectious virus is cytomegalovirus. Cytomegalovirus is present in 80 to 90 percent of India's population without causing any harm. This is because our immune system is so good that the virus can do no harm. The virus usually appears in patients with weakened immune systems. All of these patients arrived at Sir Gangaram Hospital with a report of a low lymphocyte count (usually 6 to 10 per cent instead of 20 to 40 per cent), indicating a CMV infection. Earlier, cases of black fungus i.e. mucor mycosis and white fungus Candida have been reported due to corona virus.
