Construction of the ongoing Central Vista project in Delhi will not be banned. The Delhi High Court has refused to ban the project. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh on the petitioner. The court questioned the motives of the petitioner and said that an application was made to forcibly stop the project.

It may be mentioned that after the lockdown in Delhi, the petitioner had filed an application saying that the construction work in Delhi is currently completely banned, so why the work of this project was not stopped.

The application said that more than 500 laborers were working at the project site so there was a risk of spreading the corona infection. But even before the High Court heard the decision today, the Delhi government had lifted the ban on construction activities.
