The last resort: The Delhi government sought the help of the Indian Army to fight the Corona

New Delhi, May 3, 2021

Even after the lockdown in Delhi, the Corona is still struggling to cope. People are constantly dying and now the Delhi government has sought the help of the Indian Army to rein in the Corona.

Ahead of the third phase of the vaccination campaign, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said the Delhi government had written to Defense Minister Rajnath Singh seeking the army's help. The second arrangement is to employ the army.

"Vaccination has been started in 76 schools in Delhi. We hope that 100 per cent of the people in Delhi will be vaccinated. At present, 4.5 lakh doses have been allotted to Delhi," Sisodia said.

The Delhi High Court recently slammed the Delhi government, saying, "Why didn't you seek the help of the army in the fight against Korona? The army has its own way of working and its own facilities. If you failed, you should have sought the help of the army." At the time, the Delhi government's prosecutor had promised to take further action.
