Saudi Arabia lifts travel ban on citizens of 11 countries, continues ban on Indians


- International travelers arriving in Saudi must complete a 7-day quarantine period at their own expense

Saudi Arabia has lifted travel bans on citizens of 11 countries since Sunday morning. The ban was imposed to prevent the spread of the corona virus. However, citizens of these 11 countries must follow the quarantine procedure when traveling to Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia still continues to ban the travel of citizens of 9 countries, including India.

Saudi Arabia has allowed passengers from 11 countries, including the UAE, Germany, the United States, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Switzerland, France and Japan. According to the Saudi government news agency, passengers from these 11 countries will be allowed to enter the country from Sunday, May 30.

The decision is based on the stability of the epidemic landscape and the effective measures taken to prevent the spread of the transition to 11 countries. The nine countries whose travels Saudi Arabia has not lifted include India, Pakistan, Argentina, Brazil, Turkey, South Africa, Lebanon, Egypt and Indonesia.

International travelers arriving in Saudi Arabia are required to complete a 7-day quarantine period at their own expense. Leaving the quarantine facility is allowed after the RTPCR test result is negative on the seventh day.
