Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Saifai, the stronghold of Mulayam-Akhilesh, on May 22 to seek health care. There he inspected Kovid Hospital, Oxygen Gas Plant and Giza Village. After they returned from Saifai, a Samajwadi Party worker cleaned the place where Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had set foot with Ganga water.

The game of politics has started after the video of this incident went viral. The young man in the red hat seen in the video identified himself as a Socialist Party worker. He said that all the places where Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath set foot have been purified with Ganga water.

SP activist Rohit Yadav, who appears in the video, also gave a reason why he is upset with Yogi Adityanath. He said that when Yogi Adityanath took over the reins of the state in 2017, he had cleaned the government bungalow of former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Kalidas Marg with Ganga water. Annoyed by the incident, Rohit sprayed Ganga water around the helipad at Saifai's athletic stadium.

According to Gopal Yadav, district president of the Samajwadi Party from Etawah, he is not a youth party worker and no such directive was given by the party. He came to know about this incident only through video.
