Police raided the wedding party, leaving the bride and groom to flee

Corona's second wave has led many states to ban the planning of weddings or allow only a limited number of invitees to attend.

Even in such circumstances, some people are getting married in violation of the guideline. In one such case in Karnataka, a wedding ceremony was held in Chikmagalur district in violation of guidelines. The police were raided as soon as they came to know about this. Seeing the police, there was panic in the wedding hall. Seeing the police in it too, the bridegroom left the bride and fled. More than 300 people attended the wedding. Police have registered a case against the organizers as well as 10 people in connection with the wedding.

In another case, the daughter of a Gram Panchayat member was getting married in Hosur village in Mandya district of Karnataka. The wedding was also attended by more than 300 people. Police raided and seized four cars. Filed a case against another 10 people.

Karnataka has extended the lockdown till June 7 and imposed stricter sanctions from May 10 due to the growing case of Corona. 22000 new cases were reported in the state on Tuesday.
