With the formation of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government in West Bengal, the probe into the Narda scam has resumed. The CBI has raided the homes of Cabinet Minister Farhad Hakeem, Cabinet Minister Subrata Mukherjee, TMC MLA Madan Mitra and former BJP leader Sovan Chatterjee, accused in the scam. The four have since been brought to the CBI office.

The CBI team reached the house of Transport Minister and Kolkata Municipal Corporation chairman Firhad Hakeem on Monday morning. After a brief search, the CBI started taking Firhad Hakeem with them. Meanwhile, Firhad Hakeem said he was being arrested in the Narda scam. The CBI team also reached the CBI office with Subrata Mukherjee and Madan Mitra.

Apart from that, the CBI team also raided the house of former BJP leader Sovan Chatterjee. Sovan Chatterjee left the TMC before the elections and joined the BJP, but did not get a ticket, so the BJP also left. It is learned that the four leaders have been brought to the CBI office for questioning in the Narda scam. However, the CBI denied that it had arrested any minister or MLA.
