There has been a huge revelation about Mahant Yati Narasimhanand Saraswati of Dasna Devi Mandir. Jaish-e-Mohammed militants were reportedly plotting to assassinate him. Kamlesh Tiwari, a resident of Kashmir wearing saffron clothes, was killed in Lucknow in the same way that he was killed in Ghaziabad. The Special Cell of Delhi Police, in a joint operation with intelligence agencies, arrested a man from Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir from Delhi.

According to intelligence reports, the accused, John Mohammad Dar alias Jahangir Sadhu, a resident of Kashmir, was to kill Swami Yati Narasimhanand Saraswati in the guise of a sadhu. The arrested accused was ordered to be targeted by a Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed militant. A pistol, 2 magazines, 15 cartridges, saffron colored kurto, kalawa, tilak used in worship and other garments of the monks were recovered from the arrested accused.

The man, who hails from Jammu and Kashmir, was also arrested from Anantnag in 2016 on charges of stone pelting. He was also arrested on charges of stone pelting at an army convoy after an encounter with terrorist Burhan Wani. In interrogation, he said he had met Jaish militant Abid in Jammu and Kashmir. It was Abid who gave him the task of killing Swami Yati Narasimhananda in the guise of a monk.

Abid trained Jahangir to wield a pistol in Kashmir and then sent him to Delhi where he was given weapons by a man named Umar.

Yati Narasimhanand made indecent remarks against an Islamic cleric so that the Muslim community was outraged. Delhi Police had also registered an FIR against Swamy in the case.
