Jammu and Kashmir: Voices against Israel erupted in Srinagar, 20 people arrested

The ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine has now taken the form of war. The spark of this conflict was seen in Jammu and Kashmir when the attention of people all over the world was focused on this war. Police in Jammu and Kashmir have arrested people protesting in support of Palestine.

Srinagar police said in a statement that they had arrested 20 protesters. Srinagar police have arrested 20 people on charges of violating the Corona curfew under Section 51 of the DM Act. There were 2 protests on the Palestinian issue in Srinagar on Friday. Protesters have been arrested on the basis of videography taken during the protests.

According to the Jammu and Kashmir Police, action will be taken against those who try to disturb the peace in the valley by posting sensitive notices regarding Palestine. Jammu and Kashmir Police said they would take action against social media users who tried to take advantage of the unfortunate situation in Palestine to disrupt public peace and order in the Kashmir Valley.

Kashmir IG Vijay Kumar said he was sensitive to the plight of the people but also had a legal responsibility to ensure law and order in Jammu and Kashmir so no one would be allowed to incite violence, chaos and disorder on the roads of Kashmir. People have the right to express their opinion but they should not do anything that would disturb the peace. He asked the people to cooperate and not to provoke any kind of tension in the valley.

It is noteworthy that a fierce battle is going on between Israel and the Palestinian organization Hamas. Hamas has been raining rockets on Israel since May 10 and Israel is responding immediately with air strikes. Israel is targeting Hamas bases in Gaza.
