In West Bengal, from May 16 to May 20, Akru Lockdown, the only necessities of life will be operational.

The state government has now announced a severe lockdown from May 16 to 30 due to the rising number of corona cases in West Bengal.

Metro, bus services, schools, colleges and other services will be closed in Bengal for the next 15 days. Under the order, the Chief Secretary has announced a lockdown in Bengal from May 16 to 30. All kinds of political, social and religious events are also banned. Industries other than essential services will also be closed.

Only 50 people are allowed to attend the wedding while only 20 people can attend the funeral. All educational institutions will also be closed. Government offices will also be closed and only government departments attached to essential services will work. Tea gardens and linen mills will have to work with 50 per cent staff. Sports complexes, gyms and other entertainment venues will also be closed.

Shops selling essentials have also been ordered to remain open from 7 am to 10 am. Shopping malls, restaurants, cinema halls will also have to remain closed. ST service has also been banned in the state. The government has said that the lockdown will be strictly enforced. Strict action will be taken against those who break the rules.
